Petya

Privacy Policy

The Petya app for iPhone. Last updated 3 October 2026.

We do not sell, use or disclose to third parties any data about your traffic or network activity: websites visited, addresses, connection contents, connection times, the chosen server or check results. We don't have this data — the app doesn't collect it. There is no sign-up and no account.

Install information

To understand which ad campaign brought someone to the app, we use AppsFlyer (AppsFlyer Ltd.). It acts as a data processor on our behalf and does not use this information for its own purposes. Only the following is sent:

Collection starts only after you tap “Continue” on the first-launch screen. Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) is not used, tracking permission is not requested, and there is no tracking across other apps or websites. Campaigns are measured with Apple's SKAdNetwork. AppsFlyer's policy: appsflyer.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Checks

The app only contacts the services being checked — the ones listed on screen. Each is asked for the smallest file it already serves to everyone. Response time is measured; contents are not read or stored. We run no server for checks: we receive neither their results nor when you ran them.

VPN and the subscription link

VPN servers come from a subscription link you add to the app yourself (or open from your provider's email or website). The app downloads the server list from it and refreshes it from time to time. That request carries:

The link and the response to it are handled by the subscription provider — whoever issued it — under their own terms.

While the tunnel is on, the device's traffic goes through the chosen server. Servers process only the technical data needed to carry traffic. Website names are resolved through encrypted DNS servers (Yandex, Cloudflare and Google by default; choose in settings): they see the requested name but not the contents of connections.

A switched-off tunnel leaves nothing behind: the app keeps no background connections.

The “Get a subscription” button

Sometimes the VPN screen shows a “Get a subscription” button. It opens our partner's website in Safari; the purchase happens there, under their terms — there are no payments inside the app. Whether the button is shown and where it leads, the app asks our server (api.net-work.bid); the request carries only the code of the ad campaign the install came from. When you tap it, the AppsFlyer install ID and the ad campaign labels are added to the address so the purchase can be credited to that campaign. Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) is not used. Without a tap, none of this is sent anywhere.

Connection log

The app keeps a log of VPN events: when the tunnel started or stopped, errors, memory use. It contains no server addresses, keys or subscription link. It stays on your phone and is never sent automatically — only you can pass it to support with the Share button. Clear it in the app, or it goes away when you delete the app.

What stays on the device

Check results, the subscription link and server list, settings and the log. All of it stays on your phone and is deleted with the app.

Purchases and ads

The app is free. There are no purchases, subscriptions, payments or ads inside.

Children

The app is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information about them.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date. Questions and data deletion requests: support@net-work.bid.
